Eid al-Adha
Introduced by the Prophet Muhammad during his lifetime the observance is inspired by the story of the Prophet Ibrahim. In Arabic Eid literally translates to festival holiday or feast and Adha translates to sacrifice making this holiday the festival of the sacrifice.
